FREEDOM!!!


One beautiful morning!!
I woke up and went near by my window,
I found a pretty cute bird on above the tree trunk,
Unknown of her destiny....
I wanted to catch and keep her in a cage,
I ran after her as if a shepherd runs after a lamb.
I kept her in my new cage,
All shiny and neat,
I gave her food and water daily and named her Shailly,
Days passed on... but she's not the same bird I caught,
She wanted to fly away,
Making all efforts to open the cage,
And then I understood !!
I opened the cage, to let the little bird fly,
She went out in the blue sky flapping by.
Enjoying her life at her flight, she disappeared soon.
And made me realize the true value of freedom!!!

Let's add more colours to our life this Republic Day and remember the great personalities who helped us to reach this point by opening the gates to a Happy India!!!
